Kylakas
Software for UK households

Get your finances organised, so your accountant's time goes on decisions

Kylakas keeps your household's finances in order on your own computer. It keeps track of what you have, and what comes in and goes out. It notes the assumptions behind your plan, and shows where you're heading in today's money. When you sit down with your accountant, the gathering, the sums and the notes are already done. So the time you pay for goes on their judgement instead of on chasing numbers.

Kylakas is software. You install it on your own computer and run it yourself. Nobody at Polyglyph Analytica sees your figures or your plan. Nobody here makes your plan for you, or gives you financial advice.

How it works

The work you'd usually do the week before an appointment, done a little at a time.

1

Get organised

Kylakas asks about your household one question at a time, in plain English, and writes down each answer. Don't know an answer yet? Just say so. Kylakas carries on with an assumption that's clearly labelled, and lists it where you and your accountant can see it.

2

Stay ready

Each month, log one number and anything that changed in your life. One agent drafts a monthly review, and a different agent checks it before you see it. The agent that writes the review never checks its own work.

3

Arrive prepared

Your plan, the tax and allowance sums, the assumptions behind them and a record of every change are kept in plain files, in a folder you control. Your accountant starts with everything already organised.

What's ready when you need it

Kylakas uses the UK rules for 2026/27. Every figure is worked out by code, and the AI never guesses one. So each figure is worked out the same way every time.

Where you are heading

Year by year, in today's money, see what your pot is worth at retirement and the age at which it would run out. That's the first question any adviser asks, and it's already answered.

A thousand possible futures

Kylakas runs your plan through a thousand different sets of investment returns. So you see the whole range of outcomes as well as the average.

What-if scenarios

Change the assumptions behind your plan, and see what changes as a result.

Tax and allowances

It works out income tax, your allowances and Capital Gains Tax. It also shows the order in which to draw your income. Income tax and National Insurance follow the official rules, including Scotland's own income tax rates. Each tax figure comes with the official pages it's based on. It's a first draft for a qualified adviser to check.

State Pension, protection and care

See where the State Pension fits into your plan. See what would happen if the worst happened. And see what care could cost.

Your assumptions, in one place

Every assumption is in one place, with where it came from. So your conversation starts with a clear view of what's known and what isn't. Bank Rate and the 10-year gilt yield (the interest rate on UK government bonds) come from the Bank of England's public data.

Told when it matters

Kylakas tells you when a question is waiting for your answer. You choose push to your installed dashboard, email, or both. An email says only that something needs you. The details stay on your computer.

The three things worth doing

Each month you get the three actions worth most to you, in pounds. You mark each one done, or decline it with a reason. The questions to bring to your accountant are already sorted.

It never acts for you

If a planning tool could act for you, one mistake could cost you dearly. So Kylakas can't act for you.

  • It never moves money, trades, opens an account or contacts a provider. A built-in guard enforces this, and no setting turns it off.
  • It never asks for account numbers or passwords.
  • The agents never do the sums. Every figure is worked out by code, and the agents only explain it.
  • Your decisions stay yours. No agent can accept an action, decline one or override an assumption. Every change is recorded.

What it doesn't do

We'd rather you knew this before you buy.

  • It isn't financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and it isn't regulated.
  • Kylakas is software. You install it on your own computer and run it yourself. Nobody at Polyglyph Analytica sees your figures or your plan. Nobody here makes your plan for you, or gives you financial advice.
  • It never recommends a fund, platform or provider, or tells you to buy or sell anything.
  • It doesn't link to your bank or show live values for your investments. You tell it your numbers.
  • It doesn't predict markets. Projections are only illustrations, and every assumption behind them will turn out wrong to some degree.
  • It's for people who live in the UK: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales. It uses UK rules only.
  • Your monthly review runs when you ask for it. Kylakas reminds you when it's due.

Where your data is kept

Your plan is kept as plain files in a Kylakas folder in your home folder. You can open them, and so can any program you choose.

  • Your figures, plan and history stay on your computer. There's no account to sign up for, and nothing is synced.
  • The explaining is done by your own Claude, on your own Claude account.
  • Our servers get a daily licence check-in (a licence ID, an installation ID, and whether your copy has been changed, never what was changed), and your update downloads.
  • Kylakas reads public interest rates from the Bank of England. It can back up your plan to a git repository you choose (a store that keeps every version).
  • A paired phone connects through our relay server. The connection is encrypted end to end, so the relay can't read it.
  • If you choose email notifications, our server sends one short email to the address on your licence. It says which topic needs you, never the details.

What you need

  • Claude Code, signed in to a Claude subscription that includes it.
  • Node.js 20 or newer.
  • macOS, Windows or Linux.

Not advice. Kylakas isn't financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and it isn't regulated. Nothing in it is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. For advice, speak to someone authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Why it is built this way

  1. 1An annual licence, paid in full or in instalments

Kylakas is sold as an annual licence. You can pay for the year in full, in advance. That costs at least 15% less than 12 monthly instalments. Or you can pay in 12 monthly instalments. If you pay in instalments, you owe the whole year. While your licence is paid up, you get every update. If an instalment is missed, or the year ends, this is what happens. Kylakas keeps working unless it has been changed in a way the licence doesn't allow. It stays on the version you have and gets no new versions, security fixes included. Updates start again when you pay what's owed, or for a new year.

  2. 2Your data stays on your computer

Kylakas runs on your own computer. Your own Claude subscription does the thinking. You don't upload your data to another cloud service. Our servers never see your data. They hold only your licence.

  3. 3Get more from your Claude subscription

Kylakas runs on your Claude subscription. You can use the same Claude for other work in your business too.

You need a Claude subscription that includes Claude Code. Claude is made by Anthropic. Polyglyph Analytica is independent of Anthropic.

An annual licence

Software that keeps a full financial plan for your household up to date, on your own computer. You pay for the year in full, or in 12 monthly instalments.

£99 a year, or 12 monthly instalments of £9.99

In US dollars, $129 a year, or 12 monthly instalments of $12.99. In euros, €119 a year, or 12 monthly instalments of €11.99.

Prices are before tax. Tax is added where it applies. Try it free for fourteen days first. Then you get:

  • One seat, for one person on one computer at a time. You can move the seat to a new computer.
  • Every upgrade while your licence is paid up, arriving on its own. Paying for the year in full, in advance, costs at least 15% less than 12 monthly instalments. If you pay in instalments, you owe the whole year.
  • A copy that keeps working if an instalment is missed, or the year ends, unless it has been changed in a way the licence doesn't allow. It stays on the version you have, and gets no new versions, security fixes included, until you pay what's owed, or for a new year.
  • Your money back in full if you change your mind within 30 days of a licence year starting, with no questions asked. Ask from the dashboard or your purchase email.
Buy & install

For now, you pay by invoice. On our store's page, ask for an invoice for the year, or for the first of 12 instalments. Your licence starts when we've marked it paid.

Already bought something from us? You pay 25% less for this plugin. Email me my price.

For your staff: employee seats

Buying for a team? You can buy 2 to 100 seats. Each seat costs the same as one licence. You pay for the year in full or in 12 monthly instalments.

An employer buys seats and gives one to each member of staff. Each person gets their own copy, on their own computer. You hold the seats. You give them out by email address from your seats page, and you move a seat when someone leaves.
